Char Technologies CEO Andrew White has been named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Ontario Business Achievement Awards, as hosted by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC).
As described by the OCC, the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award is awarded to a young Ontario entrepreneur who has successfully built a unique and game-changing venture.
In 2012 CHAR Technologies won the RIC Centre’s Innovator Idol competition for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) entrepreneurs in Ontario grand prize, which included a comprehensive branding package from Blade.
Subsequently, Blade also worked with CHAR to create the SulfaCHAR logo, tagline and White’s first website as the brand prepared to push successfully into the cleantech market.
A year ago (November 2015) CHAR Technologies was awarded a $750,000 grant from Sustainable Development Technology Canada and earlier this fall the brand announced a licensing deal with Chile’s Sulfatech Chile SpA.
Our congratulations go out to Andrew White and the entire CHAR Technologies team for this award and all of the success they have experienced in the last 5 years. We look forward to following their success story into the future.
